Wing Chun is an ancient martial art that, according to legend, originated from the nun Ng Mui in 17th century. It is said her idea to invent a new fighting system came from witnessing a fight between a fox and a large white crane (some say a snake and a white crane). However, the stories about Ng Mui and her student Yim Wing Chun do not fully explain the development of the martial art. The roots of Wing Chun are in Shaolin Temple but today's system is the culmination of hundreds of years of martial evolution passed down through the generations. It is a process that continues to this day. Whatever the truth of Wing Chun's origins may be, its legendary history is indeed fascinating.

Below is the Wing Chun family tree in simplified version from the Buddhist nun Ng-Mui to Sifu Tomorr Shala

Ng Mui > Yim Wing Chun > Leung Bok Chau > Leung Lan Chau > Wong Wah Bo (changed the bare hand tech. with Leung Yee Tei) > Leung Yee Tei (changed the long pole tech. with Wong Wah Bo) > Dr. Leung Jan > Chan Wah Shun (and others) > Yip Man > Leung Ting > Keith R. Kernschpecht > Andrew Cameron and Many Other Wing Chun Instructors > Sifu Tomorr Shala.

It’s worth mention that Sifu Tomorr has evolved the Wing Chun System to the next level. A level that is governed from the laws and principles of Taoism thus making the Wing Chun System the universal solution to any possible attacks. Tao Wing Chun- a Complete Self Defence System that relies on principles and not on techniques, easy to learn and apply!
